A delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan headed by Rejep Meredov is in the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss issues of expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During their visit, the Turkmen delegation is studying the details of growing early and fine-fiber varieties of cotton in Uzbekistan for their further cultivation in Turkmenistan.
There is also an exchange of experience in the field of horticulture. It is planned to start cooperation in the field of potato seed production.
The Turkmen delegation visited a milk processing plant operating on the basis of Italian technological lines, and also visited cotton and potato seed-growing, horticultural and cotton-textile clusters in the Bukhara, Surkhandarya, Samarkand and Tashkent regions of Uzbekistan.
