A joint center of traditional medicine in Ashgabat was agreed to be established by China and Turkmenistan. This is stated in the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Xi Jinping following the talks held today in Beijing.
“The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of medicine and healthcare, strengthen exchanges in the field of traditional medicine, jointly establish a center for traditional medicine in Turkmenistan and cooperate in the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, diagnosis and treatment using traditional medicine”, emphasized in the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and China.
The document also notes the readiness of the Chinese side “to assist in the training of medical specialists and strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the Turkmen side in the field of disease prevention, respond to health emergencies, remote medicine, promote the creation of a human health community”.
