Turkmen schoolchildren and students have achieved great success at the international competitions in computer science and robotics, which were held in Baku, reports “MIR 24”.

The second place in the team standings was commented by the teacher of the secondary specialized school № 97 of the city of Ashgabat Amanmyrat Torayev:

“As in any competition, our students were a little nervous. I had to encourage them all the time. In the end, they performed well”, he said.

Talents from the UK, Israel, Türkiye, Norway, Sweden, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan competed with Turkmen engineers at the competition.

Maksat Kakajanov, a student of Ashgabat secondary specialized school № 97, spoke about his model of a rescue robot:

“The robot goes around the squares and checks if there is any object there. When the robot finds an object, it will first take it to the specified point “A”, and then to the point “B”, explained the participant of the competition.

Shovket Shokhratov has created a training program that can help in choosing a future profession. It works in two languages - Azerbaijani, because the competitions were held in Baku, and Russian.

“Our application is a questionnaire. It should help a person in choosing his future. There are also questions on psychology and various teaching materials on programming”, said a fourth-year student of Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

Now the national team of Turkmenistan will prepare for the next stage of the robotics competition, which will be held in March 2023 in London.
