The International Football Federation (FIFA) has allocated 440 million USD in prize money to teams participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to NBC Sports, Argentina will receive 42 million USD for the tournament winner, 30 million USD for second-place France, 27 million USD for third-place Croatia and 25 million USD for fourth-place Morocco.
It is also noted that the teams that left the tournament at the quarter-final stage earned17 million USD each, including England, Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
Those eliminated from the 1/8 finals - 13 million USD each - are Senegal, the USA, Poland, Australia, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, the Republic of Korea.
Teams that fail to pass the group stage will receive 9 million USD each - Ecuador, Qatar, Iran, Wales, Mexico, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Canada, Germany, Serbia, Belgium, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Cameroon and Ghana.
