Turkmen entrepreneurs, working in the textile sector, visited Japan to take part in the International Exhibition of Equipment and Systems of garment industry and textile, which was recently in Osaka.

The trip was organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in cooperation with the Japanese Sewing Machine Manufacturers Association (JASMA). To participate, the EBRD selected the most successful candidates – entrepreneurs who show steady progress in business. They were individual entrepreneurs Jamila Jepbarova, Jennet Garlyeva (Unique Camel Wool project), as well as the individual enterprise “Batly Gadam”.

Moreover, a visit of the large Japanese companies of garment industry and textile was organized for exchange experience and expand business contacts.

Jennet Garlyyeva, the representative of the family brand Unique Camel Wool so tells about her participation in this trip:

“I am happy that I was able to present my brand in Japan. During the trip, I met other participants from Central Asia, each of them shared their experience, knowledge and contacts, which is very inspiring, gives confidence and a great desire to move on and take new steps. As a result of such an exchange, I had the prospect of becoming a participant in a business trip to Mongolia. Considering that Mongolia has a century-old experience of working with wool, this is very important for me”.

Jamila Jepbarova, the owner of the production on sewing of men’s clothes also shared with her opinion regarding the results of the trip:

“Going to Japan, we set ourselves the task of learning everything about the modernization and introduction of new modern technologies that meet the demand and needs of the population. As expected, there are many new proposals in this direction. But the main thing we are very interested in is JUKI's proposal to improve the network system for production management – “smart factory”. It is an undeniable fact that digitalization is the key to solving the priorities of sustainable development today”.

Recently we reported that in Ashgabat has finished the training on establishing of system business for women entrepreneurs
