Ashgabat will host an event on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3.
A photo exhibition and a book fair will be held in the building of the Turkish Cultural Center. A concert and competition “Ladder of Success” will also be held here.
The initiators and organizers of the event are the Ashgabat public organization “Yenme” in cooperation with UNODC, USAID and the Turkish Cultural Center.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was established at the 47th session of the UN General Assembly in 1992 and is celebrated annually on December 3. The General Assembly called on all UN member states to hold events to commemorate this day with the aim of integrating persons with disabilities into society.
