The Argentina national football team defeated the Mexican national team in the second round match of the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is being held in Qatar.
The meeting at “Lusail Iconic” stadium in Lusail ended with the score 2:0.
The score of the meeting was opened by the leader of the Argentine national team Lionel Messi in the 64th minute, midfielder Enzo Fernandez (87) also scored a goal.
In the first round, Argentina sensationally lost to Saudi Arabia (1:2), while the Poles tied with the Mexicans (0:0).
In the final round in group “C” on November 30, matches Poland - Argentina and Saudi Arabia - Mexico will be held.
World Cup matches in Qatar are held in five cities at eight stadiums. The trophy is played by 32 teams divided into eight groups. Teams that take first and second places in their quartets advance to the playoffs.
