An original way to replenish the city treasury found the authorities of New York – they decided to auction gifts that have ever been presented to the mayors of the largest metropolis in the United States, writes “Komsomolskaya Pravda” with reference to the NIC DCAS website.
The former Mayors Rudolph Giuliani, Michael Bloomberg, Ed Koch and others decided to bid good-bye with their gifts. For sale will be given pieces of art, jewelry, sports souvenirs, some are with signatures of celebrities. Among lots there are Nike sneakers autographed by rapper Ice-T, a silver cake spatula and a Tiffany watch given to Michael Bloomberg, Tiffany cufflinks and a Louis Vuitton soccer ball are gifts to Rudolph Giuliani, and much more.
The Mayor's Office of New York periodically conducts a sale of the organization's property (mainly office items, furniture, transport), but it was decided to sell gifts for the first time. It is planned that received for souvenirs means will go to provision of work of city archives
