In 2022, total trade (not including oil) between the UAE and Turkmenistan showed an incredible growth, reaching 653 million USD in the first 9 months. This is 296% more than last year. Such indicators were taken as an example by the State Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE, Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, characterizing the state of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
As reports newscentralasia.net, the Minister of State also confirmed the great interest of representatives of the UAE business circles in building up a productive partnership with the Turkmen side.
Following the results of the business forum “Turkmenistan-UAE”, which was held on the second day of the official visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Abu Dhabi, Al Zeyoudi said that this event “reflected the general enthusiasm for strengthening cooperation between the private sector, expanding areas of partnership and cooperation, studying new opportunities to increase trade and investment flows and launch joint projects”.
“Our business communities are eager to explore promising opportunities that will increase mutual trade and investment, as well as launch joint projects and initiatives. A wide range of opportunities in the two countries opens up new horizons for economic ties and creates new conditions for common growth and prosperity”, he added.
