Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi is exploring the possibility of holding talks in Tokyo in the second half of December with his counterparts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
It is reported by TASS with reference to the agency Kyodo.
“The Central Asian region is significant in terms of natural resource wealth and also because of its proximity to Russia and China”, the Japanese agency said in a statement.
It is noted that at a meeting with colleagues, Hayashi intends to speak in favor of continuing economic cooperation with the Central Asian states.
