Well-known Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, nicknamed Salt Bae, has come under fire from social media users after he boasted of an invoice he issued to a customer at his restaurant in Abu Dhabi, writes Daily Mail.

Nusret Gökçe, a millionaire Turkish restaurateur, is known for his “golden” (literally) steaks – he uses edible gold leaf to cook them. After he posted photos of the bill to one of his restaurant's customers online, he was hit with a flurry of criticism.

The incredible bill, which included several types of steak with gold leaf, the most expensive French wines, carpaccio, as well as several types of drinks, amounted to 615 065 dirhams or 140 584 pounds.

Social network users in their comments under the photo wrote that such an account looks like a crime against the background of the fact that millions of the world's inhabitants live below the poverty line, called the price “insane”, and the chef was accused of excessive extravagance and vanity.

Celebrities such as David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Conor McGregor, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro have become Nusret restaurant visitors.
