The online sale of tickets for passenger ships “Charlak” and “Rovach”, which fly from Turkmenbashi to the island of Gyzylsuv and back, has started. Tickets are sold on the official website of CJSC “Merchant Marine Fleet”.
Vessels ply this route every day. Departure from Turkmenbashi in favorable weather - at 11:00.
The high-speed passenger ship “Charlak” is the first ship assembled in the Turkmenbashi seaport with the participation of Turkmen specialists. “Charlak” is able to take 320 passengers. The ship is also used for tourism purposes for organizing boat trips along the coast of the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.
Let us remind that in 2015, in the village of Gyzylsuv on the island of the same name in the Turkmenbashi Bay of the Caspian Sea, the opening ceremony of the passenger sea station was held. A 51-meter pier has been built for mooring passenger ships.
According to the information service of CJSC “Merchant Marine Fleet”, tickets are also sold for the cargo-passenger ferry line Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) - Baku (Azerbaijan).
According to the statement of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan, travel to Azerbaijan by sea is suspended until the opening of the land borders of Azerbaijan.
The Merchant Marine Department of Turkmenistan was established in 2010. Later, in 2015, the department was transformed into CJSC “Merchant Marine Fleet”. In 2019, CJSC “Merchant Marine Fleet” was assigned the status of “National Sea Carrier”.
