An immersive exhibition by British artist Hockney will open in London in January 2023, reported on the Hype Art website.
The exhibition will be held in a special exhibition center “Lightroom”. An immersive exhibition differs from the usual one in that it creates for visitors the effect of complete “immersion” in the picture thanks to computer technology. The viewer does not just see the picture, he seems to be inside it, becoming, as it were, part of the plot. This effect of full presence is achieved with the help of huge screens on which the picture is projected, the simultaneous reflection of the image on multiple screens, skillful lighting and musical accompaniment.
The organizer of the immersive exhibition in London's Lightroom is the British artist David Hockney, who has been holding such exhibitions on a regular basis since the 1980s.
