Turkmen musical group “Gunesh” took part in the gala concert of the festival “Oriental Bazaar in Kazan”

The famous musical group “Gunesh” from Turkmenistan took part in the gala evening of the first International Festival of the variety of Turkic peoples “Oriental Bazaar in Kazan”, which took place in the cultural and entertainment complex “Pyramid” on October 27.

During the performance of the “Gunesh” group, on the background were demonstrated Turkmen national jewelry, ornaments, historical and cultural sights in decorative and scenic design.

The “Oriental Bazaar in Kazan” started in December last year at the Kazan City Hall, where performances of the artists from different countries took place in a hybrid format (online as well as offline). This is the first in Russian largest international musical festival, uniting different countries and cultural communities of the Turkic people. It is intended to revive the long-term cultural connection of related folks, to develop the creative potential of bandstand of the Turkic people at the international level.

The cultural project became the winner of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives of the Russian Federation.

Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Muhametshin made a speech before the gala concert.

“The initiative of our republic was supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation”, he said. — And today more than two hundred Turkic–speaking participants representing 22 national cultures from 13 regions of Russia and 9 foreign countries - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and China gathered in Kazan. We are united with all of you by common origins of languages and cultures, religion. We are sincerely glad to see our dear guests in Kazan, where East and West have crossed since ancient times, traditional spiritual and cultural values, customs of living in peace and harmony are carefully preserved in every family and passed down from generation to generation”.

As rt-online.ru publication reports, Muhametshin stressed that the iconic landmark of Tatarstan is the interethnic peace and harmony, as a solid foundation for the cohabitation of representatives of 173 nationalities.
