Today was the last day of the festival “Handicraft and arts and crafts in the heritage of the peoples of the world”, which started in Turkmenistan in the city of Turkmenabat on October 12.
All these days the atmosphere of creativity and friendship reigned at the venues of the festival. The forum participants were able not only to demonstrate their own techniques for mastering folk crafts, but also to learn from their colleagues in the workshop.
The closing ceremony of the forum was held in the conference hall of the Local History Museum of the Lebap velayat, where all participants were awarded diplomas of the festival. In turn, the festival participants adopted a general Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The holding of such an international cultural forum has acquired great importance in the deep study of ancient examples of decorative and applied art, the development of good neighborliness and friendly relations with the peoples of the world. Participants and guests of the festival once again emphasized their commitment to the development of national crafts and arts, as the engine of peaceful life, friendliness, kindness between people.
Turkmen artisans, craftsmen and artists had the opportunity to demonstrate to foreign guests the original culture of their country, unique in beauty and depth of traditions. At the same time, they were able to learn a lot about the traditions of folk crafts and applied arts of other peoples.
Tonight, the participants of the festival will have a farewell dinner, where they will once again be able to communicate, exchange contacts in order to continue to maintain friendly relations with each other.
