Moscow is preparing for the arrival of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The head of the committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on international affairs, Grigory Karasin announced about this at a meeting with Ambassador Batyr Niyazliev, writes TASS.
Senator Karasin specified that Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin plans to pay a return visit to Turkmenistan before the end of this year.
“We are preparing for the arrival of esteemed Gurbanguly Myalikgulyyevich Berdimuhamedov <...>. Chairman of the State Duma Volodin is going to pay a working visit to Ashgabat by the end of the year”, said the head of the Federation Council committee on international affairs.
During the visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, it is planned to sign a separate agreement on the establishment of a commission on cooperation between the Federation Council and the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
Besides that, Grigory Karasin highly appreciated the level of organization and the results of the first Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian countries and the Russian Federation held in Ashgabat.
The head of the international committee of the Federation Council expressed satisfaction with the peace of development of bilateral cooperation in many areas and noted that interstate relations between Russian Federation and Turkmenistan are in the nature of a strategic partnership.
“Interregional cooperation plays an important role for us. Work has begun on the issue of creating a Russian-Turkmen university. The implementation of this project is of great importance for the further development of all areas of personnel training. We hope that the work launched by the relevant departments to bring Turkmenistan closer to the Eurasian Economic Union will keep positive momentum. We will contribute to this in every possible way”, - emphasized the Russian parliamentarian.
Earlier, it was reported that Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov would visit Moscow in early October.
