Turkmen judos will take part in the World Championship in Tashkent

The national judo team of Turkmenistan is getting ready to participate in the World Championship in Tashkent, which will be held from October 6 – 13, 2022.

577 sportsmen from 85 countries (311 men and 266 women) will take part in the World Championship in Uzbekistan. The event will be held at the Sports complex “Humo Arena”.

The composition of the national team of Turkmenistan for the World Championship:

  • Men: Hakberdy Jumayev (60 kg), Aybek Omirov (60 kg)
  • Women: Aksoltan Hojageldiyeva (48 kg), Zulhumar Dashkinova (63 kg)

The Championship has a system of prizes. The championship will have a prize system. About 998,000 euros have been allocated for them. So, for gold, silver and bronze medals (individual awards), athletes will receive 20,800, 12,000 and 6,400 euros, respectively.

The competitions will be held in 7 weight categories among men, in 7 weight categories among women, also in mixed team competitions. In accordance with the regulation, fights will be held daily in the same weight category between men and in the same weight category between women. Mixed team competition is planned for the last day.
