The State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan will dedicate its next concert to the work of Arno Babajanyan.
This was announced by the head of the orchestra Rasul Klychev at the end of the concert “From the New World”, which was recently held in Ashgabat at the Mukams Palace.
The orchestra will give a new concert on October 8 and 9.
The Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan gained immense popularity as a songwriter, successfully collaborating with poets Robert Rozhdestvensky, Andrey Voznesensky, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Leonid Derbenev and singer Muslim Magomayev. Who today is not familiar with such absolute hits as “Beauty Queen”, “Wedding”, “Give Me Music Back”, “Ferris Wheel” and others. The composer's academic instrumental works also gained worldwide popularity.
