Russia will take relations with Turkmenistan to a new level. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at talks with his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reported Russian media.
The meeting of the leaders of the two countries is taking place on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand (Uzbekistan), where the heads of fifteen states gather.
“We will take our relationship to a new level. This is also provided for by the Declaration we signed on deepening the strategic partnership,” Putin said.
According to the Russian leader, the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan is being implemented not only on paper, but also in life.
“Russia, as you know, is one of the strategic trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan, and we intend to increase our share”, Putin stressed.
