Turkmenistan intends to increase the number of flights and routes of international air traffic. About this stated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, giving relevant instructions at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Friday to Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Chakiyev.
“The head of state gave the task to prepare proposals to increase the routes and number of flights of international air traffic”, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper today.
At the end of May 2022, “Turkmenistan” Airlines resumed regular flights on the Ashgabat-Dubai route, and in early June on the Ashgabat-Kazan route. In July, flights to Moscow were resumed, and in August, “Turkmen Airlines” began flying to Frankfurt am Main (Germany).
Let us remind that due to the coronavirus pandemic, Turkmenistan suspended all international flights in March 2020. Initially, the restrictions were introduced for a month, and then extended several times.
