At a meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan held on September 2, the President was presented a draft State Program for the integrated development of Seismological science in Turkmenistan for 2022-2026, as well as an action plan for its implementation.
The program developed by the Academy of Sciences of the country is aimed at increasing the role of science in assessing the seismic threat and seismic risks, conducting research and collecting information in order to identify seismically dangerous zones.
All this will directly contribute to the implementation of the state policy in the field of ensuring the protection of the population, the broad involvement of young people in scientific and technological activities, and improving the effectiveness of scientific research.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the necessity to further development of the work in this area and gave specific instructions to the Vice – Premier.
