At the meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan, held on September 2, the Vice – Premier Batyr Atdayev presented for consideration of the President a proposal from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country on the creation of a new industrial zone in the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat near the currently operating industrial zone.
It is planned to build enterprises for the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products on this territory.
With the introduction into service of highly - technological modern facilities in the industrial zone, possibilities to increase export potential will be created. The production in the country of import substituting products will allow to decrease the volume of imports. Additionally, the commissioning of new enterprises will create more than 10 000 new jobs.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the state measures to support small and medium businesses are aimed at ensuring high rates of economic growth by enhancing business activities in the country and instructed the Vice-Premier to continue working in this direction, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports today.
