Today, the youth team of Turkmenistan (under 20) left Ashgabat for a training camp in Dubai (UAE), which will last until September 7.
At the training camp in Dubai, the Turkmen “youth team” under the leadership of the head coach Said Seyidov will play two friendly matches, reports the press service of the FFT.
The camp is aimed at preparing the team for the qualifying tournament for the Asian Cup (U-20), which will be held from September 10 to 18 in Amman (Jordan). In the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2023, the youth team of
Turkmenistan (U-20) will perform in group “D”. The rivals of the Turkmen “youth team” will be the national teams of Jordan (the host), Taiwan, Syria and the Northern Mariana Islands.
The winners of 10 qualifying groups and 5 best teams that took second places will advance to the final part of the Youth Asian Cup 2023, which will be held from March 1 to 18 next year in Uzbekistan.
The 2023 Asian Cup will play the role of a qualifying tournament for the 2023 FIFA U-23 World Cup in Indonesia, which will qualify the top four teams from Asia.
