Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, reports the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
During the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral relations.
The positive nature of friendly relations between the countries, the main factor of which are contacts at the highest state level, was noted.
“In this context, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing an official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar”, says the report.
The foreign ministers also agreed to hold the third meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari commission on trade and economic cooperation in the near future.
The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries agreed to organize political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Qatar until the end of autumn 2022.
