At the speedways in Ashgabat was conducted a championship of Turkmenistan in road cycling among sportsmen of 2006 – 2008 and 2009 – 2013 years of birth, reports the electronic newspaper “Golden Age”.
Representatives of the national teams of all the velayats of the country (except the Balkan one) gathered in Ashgabat to compete for medals in four disciplines of this Olympic sport. The program included individual, pair and team time trial races, as well as group races, in which the winner was determined by the number of points scored at the intermediate and final stages.
The organizers of the tournament were the Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan.
At the age category of 2006 – 2008 years of birth among youth won A.Yusupov, and among girls A.Dovletova from Dashoguz.
Among bicycle riders of 2009 – 2013 years of birth among youth the best result shew E.Rejepnurov from Ashgabat, among girls the strongest became S.Abakumova also representing the Turkmen capital.
The winners and awardees of the competitions were awarded with honored certificates, medals and commemorative prizes.
