Iranian Deputy Foreign Ministry for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari held a meeting with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, during which issues of cooperation in trade, economic, transport and energy sectors were discussed, reports Tehran times.
Safari stated that Iran is interested in increasing the transit of goods through Turkmenistan. He also noted that the reduction of tariffs for the transit of goods and the resumption of the market at the Bajgiran border crossing will lead to increased cooperation between the border provinces of the two countries.
