The UK Ambassador to Turkmenistan: “Transport corridors for the landlocked countries has a global meaning”

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Turkmenistan, Lusia Wild, noted the relevance of the International Conference of Transport Ministers of Landlocked Developing Countries. It was reported by the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.

“Transport corridors for landlocked countries has a global importance in terms of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”, - stressed Wild.

As per the words of the diplomat, the corridors increase trade turnover, positively influence national economics, provide new, well-paid jobs and thereby improves the population’s living conditions of huge regions.

“At such global actions, as the International Conference of Transport Ministers of Landlocked Developing Countries, states learn from each other, transmit collected experience from hand to hand, by this enriching themselves and others”, - states the UK’s AMBASSADOR.

She also added that in the process of exchanging knowledge, the main thing is good neighborliness, trust and support for each other. Wild expressed confidence that in the near perspective, all landlocked countries will be provided with an affordable opportunity to enjoy the benefits of maritime trade communications.
