President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed to develop a resolution of the UN General Assembly on increasing the role of landlocked developing countries in the development of global transport cooperation, reports TDH.
In his video address to the participants of the Ministerial International Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries conducted in Turkmenbashi city, the head of Turkmenistan stated that considers it necessary to proceed to the elaboration of this resolution.
Berdimuhamedov emphasized that such a document can give a meaningful impetus to the promotion of the interests of states, indicate the importance and understanding of the relevant problems, the commitment of the world community to address them.
He, also, noted that Turkmenistan is ready to start preparing a document open for all constructive suggestions and recommendations.
