“Real Madrid” have won the UEFA Super Cup for the fifth time in history. The current winner of the Champions League at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki (Finland) beat “Eintracht” Frankfurt with a score of 2:0.
David Alaba (37th minute) and Karim Benzema (65th minute) scored goals for the winners.
The UEFA Super Cup is played between the winner of the Champions League and the Europa League. “Real Madrid” beat “Liverpool” 1-0 in the 2022 Champions League final. “Eintracht” Frankfurt won the Europa League by beating “Rangers” in the penalty shootout (1:1; 5:4 in the penalty shootout).
In total, 24 different teams have won the Super Cup, the most titled of which are the Spanish “Barcelona” and “Real Madrid” and the Italian “Milan”, who won 5 trophies each in different years.
