Athlete from Turkmenistan Sabina Kasymjanova won gold at the VII International Sports Games “Children of Asia” in the 3000 meters.
She was ahead Russian Polina Vyalova and Ruhshona Muhiddinova from Uzbekistan.
The 3000 meters is the middle distance in athletics in which an athlete runs 7,5 laps of 400 m in open stadium.
Let us remind that VII International Sports Games “Children of Asia” will last until August 8. Athletes aged 13-16 from 13 countries participate in the competition. They will compete for 273 sets of medals in 19 sports.
According to the results of five days of competitions at the “Children of Asia” sports games in Russia, the team of Turkmenistan with one gold, one silver and one bronze medals takes 8th place in the team standings among 13 teams with medals (21 teams in total entered the competitions).
