The competitions in the weight category up to 89 kg have ended at the Asian Weightlifting Championship among youths and juniors in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
The gold medal in this type of program was won by Saparly Muhyyev, who lifted 300 kg (135+165) in the biathlon. He also got small top awards in the snatch and clean and jerk.
The silver medalist in the weight category up to 89 kg was Begis Kenesbayev with a total of 293 (129+164) kg, the bronze medal went to Bahraini Husain Husain with a score of 288 kg (127+161).
