In Ashgabat a round table on financial sustainability of public organizations as a factor of their successful activities were held.
The event was organized by the International migration organizations together with the Eurasia Fund, “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.
The participants of the round table were representatives of the corresponding ministries and institutions, Mejlis Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, as well as public organizations of the country.
During the meeting, mechanisms of supporting financial sustainability of public organizations, favorable conditions for effective development of their potential were discussed.
The financial stability of public organizations strengthens their ability to develop a long- term activities, gradually implementing the mission and meeting the needs of their target groups.
In this plan, the extension of financing sources, introduction of new models favors creating of reliable financial base.
Experts from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan shared their experience in the sphere of social projects funding from various sources including the state social order and social entrepreneurship.
Extension of financial resources for public organizations can be reached in different ways: by improving the legislative framework, mechanisms of social ordering for the services of public organizations, as well as considering the possibility of introducing a system of benefits for certain types of activities.
The head of the IOM Representative Office in Turkmenistan, Azat Atajanov, noted that public organizations contribute to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals through the implementation of socially-oriented projects.
