The women's 3×3 basketball team of Turkmenistan defeated the team of Kazakhstan in the second match of the 2022 Asian Cup qualifying tournament.
The meeting of group “E”, held today in Singapore, ended with a score of 21:10 in favor of the Turkmen basketball players.
In the first match, the women's team of Turkmenistan beat the team of Guam - 21:14.
The national team of Turkmenistan with two victories in two matches leads the group (42 points). In second place is Guam (34 points), in third is Kazakhstan (27 points) and Papua New Guinea (14 points) is last.
In the next game, Turkmen sportswomen will play with the team of Papua New Guinea today.
In the women's category, only 7 teams automatically entered the main draw, these are Singapore (the hosts of the tournament), Australia (the current champions), Mongolia, China, Japan, Taiwan and Sri Lanka (the top 5 teams in the FIBA 3x3 ranking as of November 1, 2021). The remaining 16 teams will need to go through a qualifying tournament. 5 group winners will advance to the final part of the 3x3 Asian Basketball Cup.
