The Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed from summer 2023 to January 2024, reports L'Équipe.

The tournament will be held in Côte d'Ivoire. The reason for the postponement was fears of unfavorable climatic conditions in June-July, when the tournament was originally planned to be held.

Official dates will be announced later.

The Africa Cup of Nations (Africa Cup) is the main competition of national teams, held under the auspices of the African Football Confederation (CAF). The first tournament was held in 1957, that is, the competition is as old as the

CAF itself. Since 1968, the tournament has been held regularly every two years.

Senegal is the current winner of the Africa Cup of Nations. Africa Cup 2021 was held in Cameroon in January 2022.
