Turkmenistan Ombudsmen took part in the First Central Asian forum of human rights officials

Human rights official in Turkmenistan Yazdursun Gurbannazarova, took part in the First Ombudsmen Forum of Central Asia, which was conducted today in Tashkent, information agency Dune reports.

The main aim of the Forum is to develop international cooperation of Central Asian Ombudsmen in the field of human rights, regional discussion on topical human rights issues and consolidation of efforts and opportunities in this direction.

During three sessions of the forum, participants exchanged experience on the issues on women, children, people with disabilities protection and encouragement, and the importance of use of digital technologies, as well as provision of rights of the people that are found in the places of detention.

In the framework of the forum, bilateral Memorandum were signed between Ombudsmen of Central Asian countries.

As a result of the forum, the Tashkent Declaration of the I Forum of Central Asian countries Ombudsmen was adopted.

It was decided that the Forum will be held annually in the countries of Central Asia.
