Specialists from Turkmenistan will graduate the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Belarus

More than 230 specialists will graduate the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Belarus in Minsk on June 24, BelTA reports.

Diplomas, also, will be given to 41 specialists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan, the source notes.

The program of the event includes awarding graduates who graduated from the university with a gold medal, the ritual of laying a memorial plaque, an officer's waltz, as well as a musical gift performed by graduates and their passage in a solemn march.

The history of the educational institution starts from 1993, when a Fire-technical school for the training of fire brigade commanders was opened on the base of the Fire brigade of Minsk city. Subsequently, the institution was repeatedly transformed and renamed, but the essence of its activities remained unchanged — the training of specialists for fire protection. In 1992 the educational institution received a status of the higher educational institution, and from 2000 it gained the name of “Command Engineering Institute” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus. Starting from 2002, the educational entity has had experience in training citizens from Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan.

In 2016, in Minsk the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Belarus was established. The new university was created by combining the Command Engineering Institute, the Gomel Engineering Institute and the Institute of Retraining and Advanced Training.
