The Embassy of the Republic of Korea announced on their website the start of application acceptance for participation in the first k-pop festival in Turkmenistan: Turkmenistan K-Pop Festival 2022.
What is k-pop genre? A genre occurred in South Korea and united the elements of western electropop, hip-hop, dance music and modern rhythm and blues. For short time k-pop become a large-scale musical subculture, which has gained many followers around the world.
Now k-pop has reached Turkmenistan and promises to result in to inflammatory and bright musical competition.
Applications for participation in the first selection are accepted until June 15. In case of necessity, the second selection may follow on July 4-5.
The conduction of the festival is planned for July 16 at the National musical and dramatical theatre named after Mahtumkuli.
Anyone wishing can participate in the festival.
The participants will be able to perform in the competition in such directions as dance (individual or group performances) and performing of one song (individual or group performances).
The completed form of the application is to forward to the email address korembtm@mofa.go.kr
In the subject of the letter and file, specify: K-POP Festival 22_surname and name of the applicant / name of the group.
The winners will be eligible to participate in the final of the competition, which will be held in Chawon, Korea.
