Russia will allocate additional 30 quotas for students from Turkmenistan

The government of Russia is increasing the number of places for citizens of Turkmenistan. The website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation reported about this.

“In the 2021/22 academic year, the quota for citizens of Turkmenistan was 220 places, in the upcoming academic year it will be increased to 250 places”, said Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Natalya Bocharova at a meeting with the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Atayeva in Moscow.

Atayeva noted that technical, medical and engineering personnel are especially in demand in the country today.

Earlier we reported that Turkmenistan and Russia will create a joint Russian-Turkmen university, and more than 30,7 thousand Turkmen students study at Russian universities.

Let us note that between Turkmenistan and Russia there is an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of state documents on education.
