To increase passenger and cargo transportation within Turkmenistan – this task was set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammetkhan Chakyev during today's expanded joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council. This was reported by the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television.
"Due to the reduction of restrictions on domestic transportation in our country, it is necessary to take measures to increase passenger and cargo transportation, ensure high quality of services and safety of passenger transportation," Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
According to him, it is also necessary to fully and actively develop the multimodal logistics capacity of Turkmenistan in the future, to establish favorable and competitive conditions for international carriage and transit transportation.
To recap, air traffic among the regions of the country has resumed in Turkmenistan since May 25.
Earlier, the head of state also instructed to organize regular air flights from all region centers to the city of Turkmenbashi, so that it would be convenient for Turkmen citizens to spend their summer holidays in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast.
