President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov congratulated the head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his election to the post of President of the National Olympic Committee.
"On behalf of the Russian Olympic Committee and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on your election as President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan," the congratulatory telegram of the head of the ROC reads, published in the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan today.
Wishing Serdar Berdimuhamedov further success in the development of sports and the Olympic movement in Turkmenistan, as well as successful starts to all Turkmen athletes, Stanislav Pozdnyakov expressed confidence in the continuation of effective cooperation between the National Olympic Committees for the entire Olympic family in difficult time.
"I am confident in the continuation of effective cooperation between the National Olympic Committees of our friendly countries. At this difficult time for the entire Olympic family, we must keep the unifying role of sport, true friendship and respect," the President of the Russian Olympic Committee stressed.
President of the Japanese Olympic Committee, member of the International Olympic Committee Yamashita Yasuhiro, Secretary General of the Hong Kong Sports Federation and Olympic Committee Ronnie M. Wong, President of the International Sambo Federation Vasily Shestakov also congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his election as head of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan.
