Turkmenistan will expand the fleet of aviation, water, rail and land transport. For this, the country’s transport departments will purchase new aircraft, diesel locomotives, cars, mini-buses, airliners and build sea vessels. The Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Mamethan Chakiyev reported about this to the head of state at a government meeting on Thursday, reports “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper today.
According to him, this, and the construction of passenger bus stations and car racing sites in the country’s velayats, and “KAMAZ” training and service center, will contribute to the creation of new places for employment.
For the same purpose, the “Turkmensvyaz” agency plans to expand communication lines and digital automatic telephone points, introduce news types of postal services, build residential buildings for industry employees and a modern office building in Ahal velayat.
After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that large state investments are being made in the transport and communications system.
“Therefore, it is necessary to increase the production capacity of subordinate enterprise, create new jobs”, the head of state said and addressed the head of the Agency with specific instructions on this matter.
