Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today.

In turn, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the congratulations, stressing that Turkmenistan highly appreciates bilateral relations with the fraternal Republic of Uzbekistan and attaches great importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation with the close neighbor and reliable partner, with which " "much connects and has much in common."
The interlocutors confirmed mutual interest in further strengthening Turkmen-Uzbek ties in trade, economic, humanitarian and cultural fields, inter-parliamentary relations and expressed firm conviction that cooperation based on centuries-old ties of friendship and good-neighborliness will continue developing successfully and strengthening for the benefit of our fraternal peoples.
