President of Turkmenistan sent greetings to the participants of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum "Central Asia – Russia"

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent greetings to the participants of the Inter–Parliamentary Forum "Central Asia - Russia" that opens in Ashgabat today.

"I heartily congratulate you on the start of the Inter–Parliamentary Forum of the states of Central Asia and Russia in white marble Ashgabat on the days of the broad celebration of the Constitution Day of Turkmenistan and the State Flag of Turkmenistan and I am confident in its effective holding at a high organizational level!" the congratulatory message of the head of state reads, the text of which is published on the website of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The President said that the Inter–Parliamentary Forum, held for the first time in the region in the format of "Central Asia - Russian Federation", will be important in the transition to a qualitatively new level of traditionally friendly Turkmen-Russian, Turkmen-Kazakh, Turkmen-Kyrgyz, Turkmen-Tajik, Turkmen-Uzbek relations.

"The Inter–Parliamentary cooperation, which is an integral part of the interstate relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, has been increasingly more active in recent years," Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
He also noted that the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan is activating relations with the Parliaments of the Central Asian states, which currently gain new meaning and content.

According to Berdimuhamedov, the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the states of Central Asia and the Russian Federation will provide an opportunity to disseminate positive practices of Turkmenistan in public administration and key vectors of diplomacy within the framework of Inter-Parliamentary platforms.

"This Forum is an important political event that broadly reveals the significance of the peaceful foreign policy of our country in the new historical era, calling on states for harmony and dialogue, universal well–being and development," the head of Turkmenistan stressed.

The President also noted that the Turkmen people highly honor friendship and brotherhood, peace and unity of the peoples. And mutually beneficial cooperation, which originates from the commonality of spiritual and cultural values, is a solid foundation of relations between the Russian Federation and the states of Central Asia.

Expressing confidence that the current Forum will become an effective platform for exchange of views and, contributing to the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Central Asian states and the Russian Federation, will serve further development of constructive multilateral relations among the countries, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, great success in strengthening friendship and brotherhood among our peoples!
