Ashgabat Football Cup kicked off with two matches at the main arena of the “Ashgabat” multifunctional stadium.
Four teams: “Altyn Asyr”, “Ashgabat”, “Kopetdag” and “Ahal-2” are contested the trophy. Three of them – “Altyn Asyr”, “Ashgabat” and “Kopetdag” represent the top league of Turkmenistan.
Champion of Turkmenistan “Altyn Asyr” in the opening match of the tournament defeated the team “Ashgabat” – 5:2.
“Kopetdag” beat the youth team “Ahal” – 2:0.
Matches of the second round will be held on May 11. “Ashgabat” will play with “Kopetdag” and “Altyn Asyr” with substitutes of “Ahal”.
