President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message and best wishes to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports today.
"Relations between our states are based on mutual respect, equality and mutual trust," the head of state noted, stressing that Turkmenistan is interested in expanding bilateral ties, and he also expressed confidence that thanks to joint efforts, cooperation between the countries will continue developing in the interests of both peoples.
Noting the bilateral and multilateral business partnership between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in various areas within the framework of reputable international organizations, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the economic development of the region, strengthening good–neighborly relations, ensuring sustainable progress are connected with the implementation of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan-India (TAPI) international gas pipeline project.
Taking advantage of this pleasant opportunity, the head of Turkmenistan expressed sincere wishes to President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for good health, happiness and well-being, and further progress and prosperity to the fraternal people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Swiss Confederation were established on May 9, 1992.
