A thematic exhibition, dedicated to the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 has opened at the Local History Museum of the Dashoguz velayat, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
The exhibits presented at the exhibition tell about the feat of arms of the Turkmen warriors.
Among the unique exhibits are archival publications, numerous photographic illustrations, letters from the front, military uniforms of those years, and awards to war veterans.
Here are the busts of war heroes, natives of the Dashoguz velayat: Annaklych Atayev, Jumageldi Kaldykarayev, Jumaniyaz Hudaibergenov and Saparmet Hojayev.
All of them showed indomitable fortitude in battles with the enemy, the feat of each of them should be known to descendants.
So, for instance, the museum will tell about the military feat of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant Annaklych Atayev. The fighters of the detachment, led by A. Atayev, heroically repelling the enemy’s onslaught, repulsed seven counterattacks for two days on January 21 and 22 1943.
The museum exposition also presents the books “Hatyra” (“Memory”) and “Şöhrat” (“Glory”), dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, printed publications about the immortal feat of the Turkmen warriors.
