Kerim Jumagulyyev a teacher at the Special Music Boarding at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva, became a laureate of the V International Music Contest named after Alemdar Karamanov, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The contest held in the video recording format, in the Guryevsk city of Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.
Kerim Jumagulyyev performed in the “Composition” nomination, presenting the jury the author’s musical compositions “Pizzicato” for string orchestra, Toccata for organ, “Exclamation” for string quartet, “Waltz-fireworks” for symphony, orchestra “Gözleriň (Your eyes) for saxophone, viola and orchestra of Turkmen folk instruments. And also “Bagtyýarly tansy” (“Spring dance”) for violin, clarinet, nagar and chamber orchestra, “Gözel Aşgabat” (“Beautiful Ashgabat”) – a song for a soloist, mixed choir and pop-symphony orchestra.
As a result, the young Turkmen composer was awarded the 2nd prize and Special Prize “For the embodiment of national traditions in composers work”.
Kerim Jumagulyyev is a student of the famous Turkmen composer Bayramdurdy Hudaynazarov. The experience gained in the contest will permit him to conquer new professional heights, notes the source.
