Today, the social and economic development of the country, as well as the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the regions were discussed during a working meeting held by the President of Turkmenistan via digital communication, the Watan Information Program of the State Television reported.
After listening to the reports of the heads of local administrations and Deputy Prime Minister for Agricultural and Industrial Complex Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of farmers' responsible approach to cotton sowing and adherence to the quality of work that will be the key to a future rich harvest.
“In wheat fields, measures must be taken to combat weeds and pests. In accordance with the agricultural and technical standards it is also necessary to use the capabilities of the bio-enterprises,” the Head of state said.
The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of proper work organization on growing high yields of potatoes and other vegetable as well as melon crops in order to ensure food abundance in the country.
“Along with this, the care for silkworms should be properly organized,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
In this regard, it was reported that silkworms are currently under care in the Akhal, Lebap and Mary Regions, and high-quality silkworm eggs have been harvested in the Balkan Region, which are distributed among the silkworm breeders. In the Dashoguz Region, silkworms will be cared for on April 26, taking into account the Region’s climate conditions.
The President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of ensuring the high quality of construction work at social facilities and their timely commissioning.
In this regard, the Head of state demanded that special attention should be paid to the construction of a Multidisciplinary Hospital in the Akhal Region. The President of the country also gave a number of instructions to increase the pace of construction of the Multidisciplinary Hospital and an Oncological Center and ensure strict control over the ongoing work in the Dashoguz Region.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure the high level of organization of events dedicated to the National Day of the Turkmen Horse to be celebrated in Turkmenistan on the last Sunday of April.
