Now smartphones, that were released in March 2018 will not receive software updates. As notes ixbt.com, this change has been brewing for a long time: recently, Samsung supported the Galaxy S9 series only with quarterly updates. And the latest major update to the Galaxy S9 was One UI 2,5 based on Android 10. Also, the publication notes, that the tech giant has also reduced the number of updates for the Galaxy S10. Now instead of monthly updates Galaxy S10 smartphones will receive quarterly updates. It is expected, that the smartphone is will continue receiving updates until March of the next year, before it is completely discontinued.
