An American billionaire Tesla owner Elon Musk has acquired a 9,2 % shareholding in the social network Twitter.
In accordance with the Securities and Exchange Commission data, the transaction was held on March 14, and in total the Tesla founder bought 73 486 938 shares in the amount of approximately 2,89 billion USD. Thus, Musk became one of the largest shareholders of the company.
The news of the deal sent Twitter up 25 % in pre-market trading. Reports ferra.ru.
